The Announcements for today Wednesday, March 10th are as follows:
The American Cancer Society is second only to the federal government in funding cancer research. Money raised by Strides Against Breast Cancer are used to heighten community awareness of the disease, support patients and their families, as well as raise money for research. Please join Eisenhower’s National Junior Honor Society as we support these efforts. You can do your part by: Walk with us on April 25. You can pick up registration information in the main office. Buy a Strides Against Breast Cancer t-shirt for $12.
Honor a family member of friend by purchasing a spot on Team Eisenhower’s t-shirt. Make a donation to the cause. Donations and orders should be brought to the main office during Channel One or to the Strides Against Breast Cancer table during A and B lunches.
All talent show participants...don't forget the talent show dress rehearsal tonight, beginning at 5:30 in the gym. We will have pizza, so please make sure you are on time!
Listen up Generals! This Thursday night is the Eisenhower Middle School Spring Talent Showcase. We have some phenomenal acts this year, ranging from belly dancing to singing to playing the piano to break dancing. Yes you heard me, BREAK DANCING! It promises to be an exciting and exhilarating show of talent this year and you need to buy your tickets soon due to the fact that this year's talent show has a VERY limited engagement of only one show! That's right Generals, the talent show will only be presented once, this Thursday night, at 7 PM. There will not be any school assemblies this year, so be sure to purchase your tickets for the always exciting presentation of student talents! Tickets will be sold during both lunches today and Thursday. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults. Seats are limited, so be sure to purchase your tickets TODAY
7th Graders interested in being WEB Leaders – your teachers are recommending you – but you can also apply yourself. Pick up a WEB application in the Main Office and return it to the WEB basket located in the Main Office by Friday, March 12th.
8th grade students – Eldorado Cheerleader Tryouts – packets are available in the Main Office. A mandatory meeting will be held on April 5th at 6:30pm in the Eldorado Lecture Hall.
Run and for Walk for the Zoo – student registration is only $10.00 and you get a shirt, you get to walk or run and you get admission into the zoo on the day of the race and lots more. The run and walk is Sunday, May 2, 2010. You can get registration forms from the Main Office or download off the EMS website. Turn in your completed registration form and money to Mrs. Hunter by April 1st. Lets be the #1 middle school in New Mexico.
Student Led Conferences will be taking place, April 29th and 30th. If you haven’t begun collecting work samples – start now. The next meeting with your advisor will be March 23rd.
Staff & students - Join us as we dedicate our new gymnasium and be a part of the Eisenhower Middle School Walk of Fame. The PTA is engraving bricks for just $25. The bricks will then be placed outside our new gym. Order your engraved brick today to honor your favorite person! This is a wonderful opportunity for staff and students alike.
